We are happy to invite you to the next biannual Oikos Finland Conference, which in 2023 will be organized jointly by the University of Helsinki, Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) and Finnish Environment Institute (Syke).The conference will be held at Viikki campus in Helsinki and include a preconference workshop on February 13th.The meeting is a forum for research related to ecology and evolutionary biology. This year, the conference theme is Natural resources management and biodiversity and we welcome poster and oral presentation submissions under this theme. In addition to this, a diverse range of basic and applied research topics are encouraged.

At the Oikos Finland 2023 conference you will enjoy:

The Oikos Finland 2023 conference call for abstracts for oral and poster presentations is now open and closes on November 25th, 2022. Link to abstract submission.

The abstract submission form will allow you to select a preferred type and a topic of presentation. Please note that we have a limited number of slots for oral presentations but unlimited number of slots for poster presentations.


Registration is required from all conference participants and a link for registration will be available later. For members of the Oikos Finland Society the Registration fee is covered by the membership fee of 20 EUR for 2023. Instructions will be provided shortly.

Registration fees:

  • Oikos member: Membership fee (20 euros) for 2023
  • Non-member: 30 EUR

The member and conference fees are usually used by the Oikos society to support young scientist that are in the early stage of their career.

A reminder to register will be sent to all participants who have submitted an abstract.
