Presenters' instructions

We want specifically to draw your attention to the Session on invasive plant species in Icelandic terrestrial ecosystems: State of knowledge and future directions

The session will take place at the beginning of the conference on Friday, April 16th in the afternoon. We have invited both local and international speakers to give a talk at this session about the current state of knowledge and latest research on the effects of invasive species on terrestrial ecosystems. The session ends with panel discussions where the effects of invasive plant species will be discussed further and what future directions should be prepared.

The conference then continues with several oral and poster sessions on various ecological topics until the end of the conference on Saturday afternoon the 17th of April.

Please note that because of the number of conference abstracts offered we have postponed the Biologging workshop that was intended to take place before the formal program would start. Date to be announced.

Workshop on Biologging: Current use and future developments for investigating animal movement and behaviour

The workshop starts in the morning on Friday, April 16th. At the workshop we will emphasize the current use of biologging and future development of such technology. We are thrilled to host this workshop since this is an ever-growing field with more and more scientists utilizing such technology to investigate the movement, behaviour and physiology of a wide range of animals, both aquatic and terrestrial. We are honored and fortunate to have Dr. Lucy Hawkes, a specialist in animal movement and physiology at Exeter University to join the workshop. She will introduce her work on using biologging to investigate various aspects of animal behaviour, movement and physiology. We encourage all who are interested to join the workshop. Those who have experience in using biologging in their research are specifically encouraged to join the workshop and shortly introduce their work and experience with biologging (max. 5 min).
