The workshops and opening reception will be hosted in Noatun, the newly opened building of the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture at Nord University. The building is within a two-minute walk from the main entrance of the main building. Noatun is brand new and is therefore not yet visible here on Google Maps - but you can find it on Mazemap.

Bus 2 stops right at the university ("Universitetet"), while bus 1 stops at "Studentparken" (5 minutes walk) and "Hokkåsterrassen" (3 minutes walk). A phone application for time tables and tickets Reis (Google Play or App Store) makes it easy and cheaper to take the bus. It is also possible to purchase a bus card for commutes within Bodø including Nord university campus for 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days in the Reis App, or in Sentrumsterminalen in the Bodø city centre.

Scandic Havet is a hotel located in the Bodø center on the waterfront.

It is only a 10-minute walk from the Bodø Train Station and 15-minute walk from the  Bodø Airport.

Getting to Bodø

Academia has a substantial CO2 footprint, with plane travel to conferences making a large contribution (e.g., Jäckle 2022). With OIKOS Norway 2025, we want to show that sustainable conferences are possible! We really hope you share or contribute to this goal and will choose non-plane travel options if possible. We'll survey and publish results on travel choices after the conference.

All non-flying travel options offer fantastic landscape (and occasionally wildlife) views and are an experience in themselves!
