We warmly welcome you to join us for the second, in-person, SedaDNA Scientific Society conference in Tromsø, Norway on the 24th-25th June 2025. The conference will be preceded by workshops on the 23rd of June and followed by a post-conference excursion on 26th June. Important dates and the registration fees are shown below.
We invite attendees from around the world to join us and to ensure the inclusion of outstanding research from the international community, we are waiving registration fees for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) World Bank Country and Lending Groups – World Bank Data Help Desk. Please contact us at SedaDNA@uit.no to clarify how to waive the registration fee.
Travel awards
We are offering several travel awards to support the participation of students, postdoctoral researchers (up to two years post-PhD), and early career researchers (up to five years post-PhD). The conference organising committee will evaluate applications, with decisions announced by the 1st of February 2025. Gender and geographical representation will be considered in the selection process.
These travel awards can be used to cover travel and accommodation expenses, with the final amounts determined based on the number and quality of applications.
Email to SedaDNA@uit.no a brief motivational statement, explaining how attending this conference will benefit your career, contribute to your research, and advance sedaDNA research (max 300 words). Please include your name, email address, and institutional affiliation in your motivational letter letter.
For PhD students: attach a letter of support from your main supervisor (max 1 page).
Notes:
The registration fee must be paid to gain access to the conference except where the fee has agreed to be waived for LMIC early career researchers.
Onsite registration will not be allowed, and online registration will close at 23:59 CET on 1st May 2025.
The registration fee covers access to all sessions, coffee and lunch breaks, and the welcome reception.
Submitting an abstract or having an abstract accepted DOES NOT constitute a registration, which must be purchased separately.
