We welcome you to this year's inaugural early-career workshop, which aims to set the stage for the upcoming OIKOS Norway 2021 conference. The workshop is designed to encourage networking amongst early career researchers and provide practical workshops and discussions. This year's program focuses on visibility, and includes two streams:

  •  Making yourself and your science visible
  • Use of graphical abstracts as tools to achieve visibility to various audiences

We introduce the workshops by short (1-minute) presentations of the participants. We will then continue discussions in breakout rooms, focusing on how each of us has approached scientific visibility so far. The discussions provide a platform for the two workshop streams, both facilitated by early-career researchers:

1) Practical tools for increasing visibility in your profile and research (navigating webpages, networking platforms, social media, incl. Twitter), led by Sonya Geange, University of Bergen.

2) A practical stream focusing on how to use PowerPoint in developing graphical abstracts, led by Sara Hocevar, University of Jyväskylä.
