How do I register for the event?
You will be able to register for the event at this website when registration opens in Spring 2026.
When will registration open?
Registration will open in Spring 2026. We will share a link here and via our mailing list and social media channels when registration goes live.
What are the registration fees?
Details of registration fees, including student and early-bird rates, will be announced closer to the opening of registration. We aim to keep fees as accessible as possible while covering conference costs.
When will the programme be available?
A rough-level summary program will be available in early 2026. The final programme will be available in August 2026.
Is there a deadline for registration?
Yes, the early-bird deadline will be in Spring 2026, and standard registration will close in Summer 2026. There will be no on-site registration.
Do I need to be a member of NSO or Gfร to attend?
No, the conference is open to everyone. However, members of NSO and Gfร will receive discounted registration rates. Find out more about membership of NSO here, and of Gfร here.
Can I attend the conference with my family?
Yes! We are committed to making the conference inclusive and family-friendly. We offer the following options:
Accompanying Person Rate
If you're bringing a partner or companion who won't attend the scientific programme but would like to join the social events, this rate includes access to all lunches, coffee breaks, poster sessions, and the welcome reception.
Discounted Parent/Carer Rate
If you're attending with children and both parents/carers wish to participate in the scientific programme, we understand that your time will be divided with childcare responsibilities. We offer a reduced registration rate for each carer. The same rate applies to single carers attending part-time.

What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans change. Please contact us in writing at [insert email] if you need to cancel your registration.
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of confirmation.
You may transfer your registration to another person free of charge until 7 September 2026, by contacting us in writing.
By registering, you agree to these terms, including the conditions regarding the EU right of withdrawal for consumer purchases which states that, in accordance with EU consumer protection laws, private individuals (non-institutional registrants) have the right to withdraw from their registration within 14 days of payment, for any reason, and receive a full refund.
However, this right does not apply if:
By registering for this event, you acknowledge and accept that your right of withdrawal will expire once the conference begins.
What if the Conference is Cancelled?
In the unlikely event that the conference is cancelled by the organisers, all registration fees will be refunded in full. We cannot refund travel, accommodation, or other personal expenses.
Abstracts and Presentations
๏ปฟWhen can I submit an abstract?
Abstract submission will open in Spring 2026. All attendees are welcome to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations.
What are the presentation formats?
The conference will feature:

Will there be hybrid or online options?
No. The conference is run as an in-person conference only.
How do I organise a thematic session or workshop?
A call for thematic sessions and workshops will go out in Spring 2026.
Can I choose the time and date of my presentation?
No. We are unable to manage individual requests for specific dates and times.
When will I know the time/date of my presentation?
Presenters will be notified of their presentation date and time in August 2026. If your abstract is accepted, please make sure you are available to attend the entire conference as we are unable to accommodate individual requests to change presentation slots.
Travel and Accommodation
๏ปฟWhere is the venue?
The main venue is Odeon, in the city centre of Odense, Denmark. Some workshops and side events will take place at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). Venue maps and directions will be provided closer to the conference.
How do I get to Odense?
Odense is well connected by to both Copenhagen (CPH) and Billund (BLL) airports by rail and bus. Direct trains run frequently from Copenhagen Airport to Odense (approx. 1.5โ2 hours). See here.
Where can I stay?
We'll provide a list of recommended hotels, hostels, and budget options in Odense. We encourage early booking as Odense is a popular destination in September.
During the Conference
๏ปฟWill there be food and drink provided?
Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided for all registered attendees. There will also be a welcome reception and conference dinner (additional ticket required).
Is the conference venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Odeon and SDU venues are wheelchair accessible. If you have specific access needs, please let us know when you register, and we'll do our best to accommodate.
What is the policy on photography and social media?
We encourage sharing your experience online, but please respect presenters' preferences. A 'Do Not Share' icon will be available for those who prefer their work not be shared on social media. This will be explained in the joining instructions and on-site.
Grants and Support
๏ปฟAre travel or registration grants available?
Yes, limited funding will be available for early-career researchers and attendees from underrepresented regions. This support will be handled by the individual national societies within Nordic Oikos and Gfร. Details on how to apply will be shared when registration opens.
Other Questions
How can I volunteer at the conference?
We welcome volunteers to help with logistics, registration desks, and social media. A call for volunteers will be posted in early 2026.
Is there a conference app or online program?
Yes, we will be using GlueUp as our official conference app and online platform. It will provide access to the full conference programme, including session times, locations, and speaker details. You can use it to plan your schedule, receive updates, and connect with other attendees for networking before, during, and after the conference. Details on how to access GlueUp will be sent to all registered participants closer to the event. The app MyGlue is available for mobile devices: Apple App Store Google Play Store
Is there a Code of Conduct?
Yes, we expect all attendees to abide by the NSO code of conduct while attending the conference.
